IME 2 Weekend 2025

The Rev Keith Thomasson, Rector at St Ninian’s, Troon and Associate Tutor with SEI, recently led the IME 2 residential weekend 23-25 May 2025, together with The Rev Liz Crumlish, IME 2 Officer and Associate Tutor with SEI. The theme of the weekend, which took place at the Conforti Centre, Coatbridge, was ‘Collaborative Ministry’. The facilitators modelled this collaboration in their delivery, enabling the weekend to be informative, formative and fun!

The theme was explored through academic texts and scripture, with the aid of creative materials and small world figures. Opportunities were provided for reflective practice, with collaborative ministry case studies, and shared learning in group supervision. Social times were enjoyed in the comfort of the lounge and around the fire, despite the wet weather!

We reviewed our learning, sharing outcomes in a creative way, reflecting on what had been revealed, what had ignited us, and what had challenged us. It was good to be together again with colleagues who have shared the journey of training and formation during IME 1, as well as welcoming those who have recently moved north to join the Scottish Episcopal Church.
