Staffing Updates

The SEI team, joined by the SEI Chaplain, are standing on the sidewalk, smiling and taking a selfie. St. Mary's Cathedral is in the background.

The Scottish Episcopal Institute warmly welcomes Carolyn White as the new Institute Administrator, taking over from Margaret Acton who retired at the end of September.

At the end of last month, the SEI Staff team farewelled and thanked Margaret over a delicious lunch together for her time working with SEI over the last two years. Alongside this, the staff team welcomed Carolyn into the fold.

Carolyn is originally from Edinburgh. She has however lived in various places including England, Poland, Germany, Wales and appreciates learning about other cultures. Her roles in administration have included working for other theological institutions and also in hospice settings. She has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in theology and particularly enjoyed focusing on animal theology in her dissertation. She is often to be found around dogs!

As the Institute Administrator, Carolyn White will act as Personal Assistant to the Principal of the Scottish Episcopal Institute and Administrative Assistant to the Provincial Director of Ordinands (Director of Vocations). Alongside these duties, Carolyn will support residential weekends, financial administration, and general administration for the Scottish Episcopal Institute.

Welcome, Carolyn!
