The weekend around the Second Sunday of Advent (6 to 8 December) saw the Scottish Episcopal Institute’s second residential weekend of the academic year 2025–26.
The weekend took place at St Mary’s Monastery, Kinnoull, Perth, with a presentation on Friday evening on the United Reformed Church by the Rev Dr John McNeil Scott. Dr Scott also presided at Saturday’s Midday Prayer in a URC style of worship.
The Rev Dr Anna-Claar Thomasson-Rosingh presided and preached at Sunday’s Eucharist according to the Scottish Liturgy (1982/2022).
There were seminars on Theological Reflection & Reflective Practice, one each for students in their first, second and third years of formation on Saturday; and lectures on Saturday and Sunday to all students on the Creeds & Councils of the undivided Christian Church in the first five centuries.
Please keep our students and staff in your prayers as they prepare for Christmas in this holy season of Advent to be devout ministers in Christ’s Church.
