Liturgy training at Orientation Week

The Scottish Episcopal Institute’s Orientation Week 2024 features a bespoke module on Christian worship. This intensive and interactive module aims to give ordinands an overview of Christian worship, to enable them to develop skills in leading Christian worship and to aid them in progressing to deeper levels of study in liturgics.

The module is being delivered across the week by two experts in the field. The Rev Dr Phillip Tovey, of the Church of England, is a seasoned liturgist, theological educator and author. The Rev Dr Nicholas Taylor, Rector, St Aidan’s Episcopal Church, Clarkston, is Convener of the Faith and Order Board’s Liturgy Committee.

The SEI community is gathered at St Mary’s Monastery, Kinnoull, Perth, from Monday 26 August to Sunday 1 September for its Orientation Week 2024 to inaugurate the academic and formational year. Please keep the Scottish Episcopal Institute’s ordinands and staff in your prayers.
