Dr John R. Davies

Dr John Reuben Davies is a Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow. A Theology graduate from Durham University with a PhD from the University of Cambridge, he has held academic roles at the University of Wales and the University of Edinburgh. His research focuses on medieval British ecclesiastical history, saints’ cults, hagiography and liturgy. His recent critical edition of Regiam Maiestatem is a major contribution to medieval Scots law. John is Editor of The Innes Review. Active in the Scottish Episcopal Church, he has been on the Liturgy Committee since 2009 and the International Anglican Liturgical Consultation Steering Committee since 2024.
