SEI Staff Profile

Ms Cathy Johnston

Cathy Johnston (she/her) is a Landscape Architect, Planner and Urbanist, who has been heavily involved in urban regeneration in the central belt of Scotland. Cathy is keenly interested in promoting good quality, and healthy, living environments for everyone, but especially for those who do not currently have them. She has worked with many different people and is always curious to hear their story, and to see how the connection to different places has influenced them. Cathy brings her professional background and experience to the Provincial Environment Group as we all work towards Net Zero 2030. Cathy was part of the Discernment Team from 2019 - 2024. For Cathy, it was a fascinating and rewarding time, and she felt privileged to play roles at different stages of people’s discernment. Cathy loves to witness the creative and fruitful growth as each journey develops. For the last 37 years Cathy has been lucky enough to live in Stirling, where she worships at Holy Trinity Church.
