Miriam Garcia Jiménez

Miriam Garcia Jiménez, PhD Candidate in Systematic Theology is a PhD researcher in Systematic Theology at the University of Edinburgh. Her doctoral research, “Who Is Christ for the Mexican Women? Gender, Race, and the Incarnation in a Context of ‘Racial Mixture’,” explores Christology at the intersection of gender and race in the Mexican context. She previously completed an MTh in Theology in History at the University of Edinburgh and a ThM in Systematic Theology and Theology of Culture at Yonsei University. Originally from Mexico, she taught Systematic Theology at the Presbyterian Theological Seminary of Mexico for four years. Her research interests include Christology, feminist and liberation theologies, and the relationship between theology and race.
