The Rev Dr Anna-Claar Thomasson-Rosingh (centre above), on post as SEI’s Director of Studies from Friday 1 December 2023, joined SEI for her first residential weekend at St Mary’s Monastery, Kinnoull, Perth, on Friday 8 through Sunday 10 December. She writes:
The encounter with the love of God never ceases to transform my life. Fostering the encounter with God in theology and ministry is my calling. Most recently I have done that as the Chaplain at Dungavel Immigration Removal Centre. Before we moved to Scotland, I was Team Vicar in the Chalke Valley (near Salisbury) and for over eight years taught at STETS and Sarum College. What I love in Troon, where we live, is the light on the sea and kitesurfing. In St. Ninian’s Scottish Episcopal Church, where Keith, my husband, is Rector, I am involved in trying to set up a community garden and reconnecting with families. With our three teenage children, I enjoy playing board games such as ‘Ticket to Ride’. At SEI, I am looking forward to being involved with academic theology again, and finding there inspiration for faith and spirituality that connects with people.
