The Rev Liz Crumlish, IME 2 Officer and Associate Tutor, at the Scottish Episcopal Institute, recently led a retreat at Bishop’s House, Iona. The theme of the retreat was ‘Guests, not Hosts’. The retreat invited participants to engage creatively with Scripture and with poetry in considering how they might learn from and work together with God’s bountiful creation to more justly share the Earth’s resources. The retreat was attended by folks from the UK and USA.
While on Iona, Liz also participated in an ‘author’s event’ at the Iona Community Bookshop, sharing stories from her recent book, Miriam’s Sisters, Deborah’s Daughters: When Women Lead the Way, which was the book featured in SEI’s 2025 Lent Series.
