The SEI community, now gathered at St Mary’s Monastery, Kinnoull, Perth, from Monday 1st to Sunday 7th September, for its 2025 Orientation Week, is delighted to welcome the Rev Cletus Sullo, who joins the community this year as an Associate Tutor in co-operation with the Scottish Episcopal Church Mission Board’s Global Partnerships Committee. Cletus, originally from Ghana, is a postgraduate student in Church/Religious Leadership and Management at Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh.
Cletus (pictured lecturing above) is offering an intensive and interactive module for all students on Leadership during the Orientation Week, particularly on different models of leadership in the church, so as to enable students to reflect upon leadership using biblical and theological approaches within the context of the church’s ministry and mission. Cletus’s content includes the relationships among leadership, authority, service and collaboration from an ecclesiological and missiological perspective. Cletus also brings a perspective from the Global South where he has pastored, taught and ministered for many years.
Orientation Week is a time for the community to focus on deep learning in preparation for ministry. Please do pray for the SEI students and staff during this time of study in their lives of discipleship.
