Initial Ministerial Education Phase Two (IME2) students gathered in Perth recently for a day on ‘Death and Dying’. Revd Juliet Stephenson from St Columba’s by the Castle, Edinburgh, shared her experience of working with individuals and advising churches and Dioceses on helping the bereaved to navigate funerals.
In 2015, Revd Stephenson was awarded ‘Celebrant of the Year’ at the Good Funeral Awards, testimony to her work with the bereaved. In her presentation to IME2 students, there was much humour as well as lots of food for thought.
The IME2 programme is run by Revd Liz Crumlish (IME2 Officer) and provides further education for those in authorised ministries, as they begin to serve charges, following their first three years of training and formation at SEI.
