Board of Examiners 2026

The Scottish Episcopal Institute held its annual Board of Examiners meeting on Tuesday, 28 July 2026. The Board of Examiners is made up of Dr Alistair Mason, Chair; Dr Andrew Boakye, External Examiner; Rev Katrin Bosse, Associate Tutor; Rev Canon Dr Alasdair Coles, Associate Tutor; Dr John R Davies, Associate Tutor; Dr Anupama Ranawana, Durham University Representative; Rev Dr Anna-Claar Thomasson-Rosingh, Director of Contextual Formation and Acting Principal; Dr Victoria Turner, Secretary to the Board of Examiners and Director of Studies.

The Board of Examiners consider the quality of academic procedures and standards upheld by the Scottish Episcopal Institute in its marking, moderation, and teaching. The Board also consider the progression of its students, and the recommendation for awards to the Durham University (Overarching) Board of Examiners.

The Scottish Episcopal Institute are immensely grateful to the members of the Board of Examiners who continue to provide scrutiny and constructive feedback. A particular thank you to Dr Andrew Boakye, Lecturer in Religions and Theology, University of Manchester. Dr Boakye is at the end of his three-year tenure as SEI’s External Examiner. SEI is grateful for the thoughtful, informed, and independent recommendations and commendations Dr Boakye has offered as External Examiner to SEI over the last three years.
