During term time, SEI students and staff gather to pray Compline every Wednesday evening using the Open Space facility on Moodle. During this period of National Mourning they are extending this practice to a nightly observance at 9pm. In this time of reflective prayer thanks are being offered to God for the wisdom of our late sovereign Queen Elizabeth’s guidance and her love of peace, for the care and devotion with which she served her people, and for the example of her gracious life.
Eternal Lord God, you hold all souls in life: Shed forth upon your faithful servant, Queen Elizabeth, the bright beams of your light and heavenly comfort; And grant that she, and we with her, may at length enter into the joys of your eternal kingdom; Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end. Amen.
